I like long walks, and I like singing, and I like writing, and I like ….you. So I wrote a song about all of those things combined. And I’d sing it for you, but the mountain stole my voice for the time being. But once it gives my voice back to me, I’d like to sing you a little song….and It goes like this……
Through the snowfall, on the mountain tops
I’ll call to you,
I’ll call to you
From the tree tops, of the worn wood
I fell for you,
So far for you
And when the storm broke and the sun leaked
I felt for you,
so much for you
So when you walk, walk along, walk alone, walking steadily….steadily, steadily, steadily,
Will you think about me? will you think about me? will you think about….me?
Cause when I walk, walk along, walk alone….all I think about is you, and I think about me, and I think about us,
and I think about we…and I think maybe…
So will you walk, walk along, no alone…will you walk beside me? Will you take a walk with me? Will you have a chat with me?
Will you have a chat with me?
And we can walk, walk along, not alone, hand in hand through the storm, through the snow,
through the trees……and we can talk, talk about, talk about, talk about, talk about nothing.
So from the tree tops of the worn wood,
I’ll still call to you,
always for you.
And on the worn path,
of our first walk,
I’ll think of you,
so much of you.
And when alone here,
and the sun leaks,
I’ll miss you.
I’ll miss you.
So if ever you come back,
and I’m still here,
I’d like to kiss you,
because I’ve missed you.
And we can walk, walk along, not alone. You can walk beside me, you can take a walk with me.
And we can have a chance to see, that this was always meant to be.
And we will walk, walk along, not alone hand in hand through the storm, through the snow, through the trees, and we can
talk, talk about, talk about, talk about……nothing.
